Draft at Saint Denis location - Flat liquid, oily texture, just sort of laid there. Really disappointing. Looked good but that was it.

Pretty mild brown ale. Some roastiness but not much. There is a perfume quality to all of their beers that I don’t care for. Reminds me a bit of handsoap. On tap at Montreal locatoin on St Denis.

This beer poured nice with a dark brown colour and a nice fluffy white head but that is where the good ended and the mediocre began. There was practically no aroma and not much taste either. The palate was surprisingly light.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown with a fluffy white head. The aroma was of fruit and a bit roasted malt, it also had some pine tree hints to it. The taste was more of that dark roasted malt with a bitter bite at the end.

[517-20070811] Tap @ 3 Brasseurs (Montréal, QC). Smells like smoky bits of lightly roasted fruit skin. Clear, dark brown amber body with a long-lasting creamy white head. Coffee flavour has noticeable alcohol and a roasted dark malt. Medium-full body. Surprising roasted qualities, great to try.
