Predominant sweet ginger aroma. Taste is dry and moderate malty with a sour-sweeet accent. Notes of herbs and mild spices. Light to medium body. Quite watered down mouthfeel. A faint fruity bitterness in the ending. Gr0ve (1412), Oslo, Norway
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Oct 2, 2008 500 ml bottle. Golden colour. Small white fine-laced head. Strong sugary ginger aroma, much reminiscent of ginger ale. Medium-bodied. Silky texture. Nice malty flavours. Light on the hops, but there is a little bitterness in the finish. Balanced flavours, but a little more ginger than malts. Quite alright, but nothing to go out of your way to get. ogivlado (3088), Zagreb, Croatia
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 24, 2007 Bottled(500ml). -from Geant Briancon. Nice bronze coloured, medium sized white head, génépi nose. The aroma is also génépi (very aromatic) and caramel, watery. I’ve tried three different types of génépi liqueur and I didin’t like any of them, so it was unreal to expect that I’ll might like this beer. Doggythedog (1597), Split, Croatia
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jan 22, 2007 Bottle shared with and courtesy of ozujsko (thanks!). This poured a lovely ambery-orange going bronze colour with a thick medium sized white head that went away slowly. The nose was quite herbal (génépi obviously) with some malty hints. Taste... very, very watery. Caramel and génépi. Some weak, pleasant acidity. Just a hint of eggs. Just 2.2% génépi liqueur dumped in a really crappy beer base. Somewhat interesting, a cute gimmick, but definitely not a good beer. TBone (6844), Pori, Finland

Golden color, not much head. Strong nose of cardemon (maybe it’s génépi?). Malty, medium-bodied. Spicey, cardemon also in the flavor. A bit of sweetness. Dixen (1465), Flagstaff, Arizona, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Feb 18, 2004 First of all génépi is a local liquor of the Briancon area in the french alps. Its made of some herbs and the locals says it has a healing effect. Afterall its very nice after a good french meal. The aroma of this beer is defintly génépi, thats some herbs with an acid touch. Appearance is golden, like a pilsener with a little white head, nothing special. But my my, i really do like génépi, but not in a friggin beer. The taste is awful! Maybe they just stood over the tank of pilsner beer and poured bottle after bottle of génépi into it. It tastes like very watery pilsner beer, but then the génépi taste comes. Very bad. Génépi is good. Beer is good. But not together! Overall: 4 becuase of the aroma of génépi. Couldnt finish the glass....
