Good sized head, diminishing, foamy. Sweet floral aroma, some dark fruit, typical belgian ale aroma. Thick syrupy initail taste, light taste, fizzy & slightly bitter aftertaste, with some fruit sweetness on the end. Very floral taste. Decent, but a little plainish. faroeviking (6082), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands

Pours a nice golden orange slightly hazy colour with a big bubbly and creamy shortl lasting white head. Aroma of yeast, fruits, toasty malt and caramel. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Apr 5, 2007 Pours a golden color with a large frothy head that disappated quickly. There was almost no lacing left on the glass. I smelled malt, spices and some dried fruit on the nose. Very dry palate with tastes of malt, fruit and yeast. Very low carbonation and not. The mouthfeel wasn’t what I expected and was rather weak for a Belgian Ale. It seemed like something was missing as this was not very complex. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 20, 2007 Rhythmically ticking (really) murky orange measure sniffing of wood, candy and bananas. Flavour-wise, peach-like fruitiness, slightly smoky malt and pleasantly wheaty afters. But a dank, watery antiseptic cardboard back taste that really doesn’t convince. Echoes of Vieux Lille. Very disappointing. Borup (1360), Albertslund, Denmark
