| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 18, 2009 Bottle. Not the most surprising of the trappist beers. Pours golden blonde with a quickly dissipating white head and almost no lacing. Aroma is very light, a little grainy. This is a medium bodied blonde that is fairly dry in the mouth. The flavour has a bit of citrus and is faintly sweet with a touch of honey. Easy to drink - pleasant but not outstanding. JanVittrup (148), København V, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 16, 2009 Unfiltered amber/orange, fizzy head quickly completely gone. Looks very fresh.
Somewhat fruity, watery/alcohol aroma. Not unpleasent, but not nice.
A little sour. Dry at the end, some weak alcohol tones.
Not bad, but not for me - mostly due to aftertones. BJCP Classifies as Belgian Blond Ale.
Watery, thin, some fizz.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 15, 2009 bottle. Pours clear yellow with medium fizy head that is short lived. Aroma is malty, a bit of hops. Not very good aroma. Taste is a bit spicy, with some belgian yeast. There is also some hints of fruits and the finish is somewhat alcoholic. Not bad but quite ordinary. plovmand (1692), Helsinge, Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 16, 2009 Bottle. Clear golden body with a small diminishing white head. Yeasty and fruity aroma with some goldings hops. Bitter flavour with some yeast, fresh spicy fruit and light alcohol. Medium bodied. Slokop (94), Tilburg, Netherlands
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 14, 2009 Huge head of clear white foam, golden body. It starts with a fine bitter, tiny sweet and full body. Not much aftertaste, just slight presence over some time. More of a firm beer than its percentage of alcohol would make you think. Fine beer but not outstanding amongst the many blonds around. Nicko (191), Ashfield, Australia
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 12, 2009 Bottle, clear golden with a small white head. Aromas all sweet, sweet bananas to me, like the sweets you used to buy in a paper bag at the milk bar. Maybe with a couple of musk sticks thrown in too. Very pleasant but fairly plain in the mouth, no specific aftertaste; should be chocolate freckles. downender (2592), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 11, 2009 Bottle. Slightly hazy and deep golden in colour with next to no head. Sweet, fruity aroma with oranges, bananas and yeast evident. Flavour had the same sweetness, with a grainy character and short bitter finish. Tasted a bit artificial all round. Ok. Pours clear golden. La Trappe specific aroma, rather sweet flavor. Very clean beer, uncomplex.
