Nice dessert-type beer. Sweet caramel/toffee, apricot, and wild honey flavors. Very, VERY mild hopping! Bit of an alcohol kick, making me think this was a bigger beer than it turns out to be. Some hints of banana and gumballs....making me feel like I might be back in pre-school at snack time, enjoying an apricot juice wearing a couple of Salerno butter cookies on my finger like doughy rings. I hope that’s perfectly clear!

Unexciting beer with buttery honey sweetness, giving me nothing and the persistand yeast gets in the way, never mind the alcohol that would make you think this was a 10% beer.

Pale amber with a creamy head, this has an aroma of pale malts, floral hopping, and tart orange juice. Soft but creamy in the mouth, it tastes of soured orange, sweet malt, white pepper, hop bitterness, and, although not particularly strong, a touch of alcohol. The finish is abrupt, slightly dry. Drinkable, but not memorable.

Medium white head, quickly subsiding. Clear orange body. Sweet vinuous banana-like aroma with sourish lacquer notes. Taste very like the aroma, very soft. Watery mouthfeel. Faint, lingering, peppery, banana-like flavours. No real aftertaste. Good, highly drinkable, but for a Belgian-style beer not that interesting.

Bottled, 330ml, filtered. Orange gold with large white head. There is a spicy, tangy aroma followed by a thinnish and slightly cheap perfumy flavour, bubblgum sweet with a hint of Bazooka Joe strawberry. Grainy and pleasantly malted, but overall a little too cloying.

Bottle: Poured a deep golden/orangey color ale with a huge foamy head with excellent retention. Aroma of floral malt with candy-like sweetness, which is very enjoyable and reminiscent of the other beer from this brewery. Taste is also dominated by the candy-like sweetness and big malt. This beer does the same thing that Christophel did for me for Pilsner if you see what I mean.

11.2 fl. oz bottle. The head was nice, thick and foamy. The taste is a bit like bananas. It’s a light beer.

This beer started and ended poorly. It was a struggle to get the cork out. Anyway... Hazy orange body with no head. Aroma is fruity with other fun Belgian stuff. Almost a stale basement feel to the flavor which hurt the fruity taste. If it’s not that it’s the yeast strain... and I don’t like it. Really an odd fruity taste, not good in a beer IMO. Almost no hop presence here other than a bitter finish. Maybe the bottle went bad, but either way I didn’t like this. I wanted to like this but it just didn’t happen. I didn’t want to post this before I finished the 750ml bottle, and believe me... it took a while. I even feel like 2.8 is a gift :(
