Pale malt aroma with some oxidized caramel qualities. Golden raisins and some tea leaves... The tea goes with the oxidation. A touch of biscuit and a faint far off vanilla. Nice pale malt in the mouth... But definitely oxidized. Wet newspaper flows into more pale malt with brown sugar and a drizzle of caramel. Touches of toast, caramel, and soft cassonade sugar finish it out with just the right ammount of residual sugars. rederic (1811), montréal, Quebec, Canada

I pours a clear gold color with an almost non exsistant white foam.
It has a malty taste but nothing special to my liking. I have had many regular lager that are much better, and for a Trappist I was very dissapointed. jabbeloo (9), Denderbelle, Belgium does not count | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 29, 2009 The View

A hazy golden ale with one finger of loose off white head. Spicy yeast aromas predominate with hints of oranges and caramel malts. The taste is fruity (mainly orangey) and quite sweet but it finishes with a gentle warming bitterness. It is not as sweet as a Leffe Blonde. Medium bodied and drinkable. Not bad at all. berkshirejohn (1830), Bracknell, Berkshire, England
