Had this as one of the four 750mls in the fridge, the other being the dubbel, triple and quad. I figured this would have some bite, but was surprised by the fruits, of pear and apple that permeated this. This didn’t quite make methodone orange, but it was far too orange tinged for me to see it as a pure blond. Like some ratings before, it sneaks up on you with the strength, and give you a whallop if you go into to quickly. I wasn’t too happy with the mouthfeel (since it came across oily), but the nose and taste had me trying to figure it out for some time. Generally not bad, but a little watered down and lacking tongue punch for me to call it really "great" or anything. (Bottle Pour 3/28/2008)

Oct 12, 2008 Bottle, from Phil_l, via Beer Merchants. Thanks Phil! Slightly hazy copper with a nice white head, settling away fairly quickly. Musky sweet melon and peach aroma, a little touch of hay. Flavor plays out along those same lines, with an additional subtle spice note. Flowery sweet, but finishes fairly dry. Very nice.

Oct 1, 2008 My friend handed me a bottle of this ale after a very hot and humid day. I had never heard of the beer and was very surprised with the taste, also how refreshing is was. A slightly fruity taste and a unique orange coloring, i would recommend it to anyone.

Sep 21, 2008 Bottle from a local supermarket. Was expecting averageness and was blind sided by nice and tasty. Result. Clear gold and due to a wife pour had a huge fluffy white head. Fruity and citrusy (if thats a word, I put Y on the end of everything) Vanilla cream. I thought this was lovely. Very me though.

Sep 21, 2008 Sweet honey aroma with a strong aroma of alcohol. Pale golden yellow with no head. Tasted sweet with a strong taste of alcohol and was fizzy.

Sep 13, 2008 Bottle from Total wine. This one is pretty nice. Goldish color, nice head. Aroma of wood, vanilla, malt. Flavor is fruity and light. Yeast shines through and has some good tartness. Nice.
