Bottle. Pleasant aroma of sweet malt and some dry and sour yeast. Pours dark amber. Lots of yeast on the palate, both floral and sweet. Some caramel and toffee, but barely. Actually fairly bitter, I’m guessing its from the yeast and not hops. Medium bodied with very lively carbonation.

A good bock. Very German in flavor but the yeast seems Belgian. Lots of malt, some caramel, and a good thick, mouthfeel. Medium sweet. There is a lot of yeast, and no the hops are very light. True to style.

Sugary sweet nose, lots of caramel and some citrus. Really brilliant bright amber color with active carbonation and a huge fluffy head that sticks around for a while. Solid heavy palate with a bit of spice. Flavor is peppery sweet with a caramel and coffee finish.

(Bottle) Dark brown colour with ruby hints. Huge, but brief, pale brown head, leaving traces of lacing. Herbal, fruity nose with notes of caramel, brown sugar, bitter orange marmalade, prunes and faint hints of fresh coriander. Malty, slightly yeasty taste with dark fruit, caramel, burnt sugar, herbs and a rather bitter, slightly burnt finish. Starts with some malt sweetness but finishes rather dry and bitter. Nice mouthfeel, firm but smooth, slightly vinous. Well constructed and balanced, but actually lacking that extra edge. Nice beer, however.
