ersma: den holländischen trappisten habe ich mal als würdige nr. 999 auserkoren.
dunkle, rubinrot-braune farbe. erstaunlich viel schaum für ein trappisten-bier, also mindestens ein halber mm.
geruch ist süßlich-hefig, leicht säuerlich. aromen von schoko, kaffee, waldfrüchten und nelken. sehr komplex und intensiv.
der antrunk ist sehr perlig. hefig mit deutlichem kaffee-aroma. dazu nouancen von kakao, röstmalz und ingwer (!). marginal nach alk. die mitte ist spritiger und herber. die 6,5 volt mag man dem bier nicht glauben. der abgang kommt deutlich röstmalzig, würzig, mit erdigen aromen.
die flasche kommt mit trappisten-üblicher schlichtheit daher, ist gerade darum aber durchaus gelungen. nur das papier der etiketten wirkt etwas billig.
fazit: ein lange gelagerter, ausgereifter trappist ist immer ein genuss. und dieses bier bildet da keine ausnahme. unbedingt probierenswert.
