Bottle: Amber ruby color with a large beige head and nice lacing. Nose is fruity, malty, yeast, wine, and a bit of raison. On par for the style. Tastes sweet with dark fruits, malt, and a crisp finish. A little caramel sweetness with the maltiness smooths it out. Thank you Jordan for sharing this.

Dark Brown with Red Hue and Sandy Head. Dry Malt, Yeast and Spiced Aroma. Medium Mouthfeel...Nice and Creamy...and Quite Smooth. Wonderful Layers of Malt...Very Aromatic Even While Drinking. Cinnamon, Cloves and Nutmeg Dance On your Tongue While Sweet Dry Malts Do the Lions Share of the Work. Nice Bready Quality to it. Overall Just a Really Drinkable Dubbel.

Bottle. Luscious dark malt nose, plums with dark fruit, subtle spice, and faint brown sugar. Deep dark dull red body with strong carbonation and an excited tanned head. Sweet taste of dark fruit. Bubblegum and plum. Velvety malt doesn’t match the carbonation, and body is too thin, even for a dubbel. Aftertaste is kinda bland. Very slightly warming. Wow, didn’t think I was going to kill this - it’s good! - but it’s just a little too uninteresting.

Bottled: Beer served too cold, excuse me while I give myself an uppercut. Poured a deep copper with a tan medium head. Quite active carbonation, the aroma featured stewed fruit, plums, brown sugar, grapes and alcohol. Flavour was similar - stone fruit, leather, alcohol up front and a touch of pepper. Balanced by a light bitter finish. Quite nice but not quite up to some of its trappist brothers IMO.

Bottle. 11.2 fl. oz. Koningshoeven Dubbel. Dark reddish-brown color with off-white, frothy head. Sweet, raisin yeasty aroma. Medium to full bodied with a very dry texture and lively carbonation. Sweet flavor with some lingering bitterness.

Coffee color, no head. Hazy with yeast particles. Sweet, berry aroma and flavor. Fizzy, medium bodied. Malty and tart finish.
