| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 3, 2009 my 100th beer. pours out almost like a dark pale ale producing a tall lumpy head that was almost white in color in fell super slow. the body is a hazy burnt oarnge with little carbonation rising up in the center of the glass. the aromas are very fruity. i smell apple, banana, grapes, and some plum along with a whole range of other fruits. i also get some caramel, a whole lot of sugar, and some roasted malts. it is medium bodied and kind of light on the palate. its kind of sweet, but balanced out by the malts that they used because i cant get any of the hops, but its still balanced. i taste the noted fruits along with some toffee and a lot of sugar. the alcohol is hidden very well and the aftertaste is sweet and a little short lived, but hung out for just a little while. nice beer, but a little fruity. Fruity and almondy - I suppose that means apricots. Moderate carbonation. Slightly oily. Some bitterness and cloves at the finish. Aroma is moderately malty (caramel, toasted nuts), lightly yeasty (basement), with notes of gum, alcohol, pepper.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic.
