cloudy orange, thick white head. aroma is clean fruity, spicy, belgian. quite clean, sort of true to the style (whatever that is). flavor is sweet, bannaa, yellow fruits, faint bitterness, a bit too bitter to match the better aroma.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of fruit, yeast, and some caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, yeast, and fruits as well as light notes of spices, leading to a dry spicy finish.

( 750ml bottle thanks to bu11zeye) Pours murky orange with great head and lace. Nose is fruit, grains, alcohol and spicy yeast. Taste is spicy, alcohol, belgian yeast profile, and nice floral hops. Nicely carbonated and good body.

Hazy orange-brown color, nice bubbles which tickle the tongue. This ale has almost perfect balance between sweetness and dryness. Flavors of burnt orange, plum, citrus rind, and coriander. Very surprising, I drank the whole bottle while watching a basketball game (we won). The alcohol is not noticeable but will hit you later. Really enjoyed this and hope I can find it again.

Pours cloudy orange-amber, with a one-finger cream-colored head, very fine and lasting head. Aromas of biscuit, caramel, citrus, hay, spice, and a hint of bubblegum. Medium body, strong carbonation, lightly dry and just a little tang. The taste is predominately biscuit, pepper, and grapefruit. Has some hints of other spices, apple, apricot, and alcohol flavors. Finishes a little bitter, grapefruit and hay, but is nicely balanced overall. In character it seems a milder cousin of Orval.

(Bottle) Pours light hazy amber with a creamy off-white head. The aroma holds typical La Trappe canned pear, apricot and apple esters but there is also some room for incense and clove-like phenols. Maybe some canned tangerines and bananas. Undertones of wheat/white bread, doughy yeast, vanilla sugar, dust, caramel/cracker/nut-like malt and herbal hops. The flavour is light to medium sweet, light to medium bitter and tiny acidic. The finish is drier and medium bitter with clear tones of herbal and earthy hops. Tones of apple/pear esters, light clove phenols, cracker-ish malt, mild spices and dust alongside doughy yeast and wheat. The mouthfeel is clean, crisp and well carbonated. Medium bodied. A couple of years ago I really hated the (too fruity and sweet) La Trappe beers. However, that was before - now days I cant get enough of this liquid gold.
