This is just amazing. Perfect CO2, smooth, "a dangerous beer" - only issue is that it’s to small in a 33 cl. bottle!

Tap at Lucky Baldwin’s. Nice full aroma of trappist yeast, flour, dark fruit. Color is great for this style: a wonderful roasty light brown. Flavor is roasty round malt, plum, date, more yeast, esters, dark, dark grape and sweet grain. Really great. A hell of an anniversary beer.

Another nice Trappist beer. Pours dark amber with a head that laces a lot. Aroma is of dark fruits (cherries, raisins etc) with some sweetness. Flavor is big and complex. Alcohol is balanced by the big flavor and it goes down easy leaving you wanting more.

This pours an opaque, golden, orange color. A one-finger head of creamy, off-white colored foam sits on top. It leaves a full surface covering layer. The lacing is curtain-like and very sticky. The nose is filled with a huge yeastiness. Very good presence of white fruits. Lots of bananas, pears and apples. Good presence of candi sugars. Light hints of booziness. The taste follows the nose, almost completely. The yeastiness is still out front, but the fruits are doing their best to try to make their presence equally obvious. A mild sweetness from the candi sugars. A very light spice presence comes right at the end. Good warmth follows, all the way down. Full-bodied with a medium level of carbonation. It has a mild smoothness, with a touch of roughness around the edges, which keeps it interesting. It has a nice, mild, level of creaminess. This is nicely drinkable, but watch out for that 7.50%abv, it’ll sneak up on you, quickly.

Thanks to eyedrinkale for the chance to try this rare (for now) gem. Pale amber-golden beer. The aroma is great. Loaded with soft rich crackery Belgian malt. Light floral/zesty hoppiness and a great understated spiciness. Clove and allspice without any of the cloying fruit that most American examples of this style have. Excellent balance and an excellent beer. I certainly hope to see this in wider release.

Pours a hazed amber color with a textbook creamy head that sits there like a stubborn mule deer. Mild aromatically. Medium full nectar with creamy effers. A solid fruit core of stonefruit and green apples with moderate acidity. I catch a glimpse of some fresh baked gingerbread and biscuits, red licorice. The finish lingers a bit leaving a bit of dryness on the tongue. A rather complex brew that evolves as it warms in the glass. Good stuff.

Bottle @ the Happy Gnome for Father Issac’s visit. Many thanks to abberverator for the ticket to this event. A dry, yeasty aroma almost lager like malt aroma. Very light but with some caramel and dark fruits in the aroma. A Beautiful hazy color. The body was much like the aroma, but dry and yeasty almost parching with a lingering yeast finish. I hope this sees US distribution by August as its a phenominal summer brew.

Hazy orange-brown color, nice bubbles which tickle the tongue. This ale has almost perfect balance between sweetness and dryness. Flavors of burnt orange, plum, citrus rind, and coriander. Very surprising, I drank the whole bottle while watching a basketball game (we won). The alcohol is not noticeable but will hit you later. Really enjoyed this and hope I can find it again.
