Tallahassee, Fl. - Market Square Liquors - 750 ml caged corked bottle. Pours a murky light orange with a sift silky head that sticks around leaves a bit of sticky lacing. Fresh fruity aroma - peaches, cantaloupe come to mind. Chewy flavor with some soft raisin accents, a hint of chocolate and some cookie dough. Mouthfeel has nice carbonation to it. didn’t blow me over but a nice drinking Belgian.

On tap at the Flying Saucer in KC. Pours a lightly clouded, amber-red-mahogany colored body with a thick and creamy, two-finger width, tannish beige head that dissipates slowly and leaves a good amount of clinging lace. Aroma is sweeter with overripe fruits, a light caramel, yeast, some straw, and estery. Flavor is fruity yeast and a light, earthy caramel up front before a good amount of overripe fruits come in. Banana, plum, apricot, apple, and grape mixture with a light estery taste. Finishes with a soft, straw bitterness and lingers for a shorter duration with a lightly spiced yeast. Smooth with a light drying finish after a medium body and bubbly carbonation. Overall, a solid, well balanced Belgian beer. Not the most complex, but tasty and enjoyable.

my 100th beer. pours out almost like a dark pale ale producing a tall lumpy head that was almost white in color in fell super slow. the body is a hazy burnt oarnge with little carbonation rising up in the center of the glass. the aromas are very fruity. i smell apple, banana, grapes, and some plum along with a whole range of other fruits. i also get some caramel, a whole lot of sugar, and some roasted malts. it is medium bodied and kind of light on the palate. its kind of sweet, but balanced out by the malts that they used because i cant get any of the hops, but its still balanced. i taste the noted fruits along with some toffee and a lot of sugar. the alcohol is hidden very well and the aftertaste is sweet and a little short lived, but hung out for just a little while. nice beer, but a little fruity.

750ml bottle, caged cork closure. Abbey glass. Dark gold, creamy head. Yeasty fruit nose. Fruity and almondy - I suppose that means apricots. Moderate carbonation. Slightly oily. Some bitterness and cloves at the finish. Drier and less yeasty than their tripel, less interesting than either that or the quad. Nice, but really not that special.

Bottle. Head is initially large, frothy/creamy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy medium amber, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (caramel, toasted nuts), lightly yeasty (basement), with notes of gum, alcohol, pepper. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Pleasant, but simple and ordinary.
