Pours a cloudy ruby color with a good amount of off whitehead. Aroma has malty, hints of citrus, belgian yeasts and spices, and bit of alcohol smell. Flavor is sweet in the beginning, turning slightly acid near the end. A bit of carbonation with tiny bubbles tingle giving this a nice mouthfeel. Decent quad, a little harsh but I still enjoyed this one.

Sweet aroma with a nice balanced flavor. Slight apple and grape flavor. A little bitterness that disipates quickly after the great sweet malt flavor. Very nice beer.

Light brown with a thick tan head. Smells like rasins, grapes, and malt all blend together perfectly.Taste is very powerful with a wonderful alcohol twang. Not lost in all of that is a great malt sweetness, apples, and cherry.Well balanced carbonation and a high ABV make this a great beer.

750ml - cork says 26/07 Koningshoeven label - Appealing aroma is fruity with raisins and cherry. Slight spice with even a little chocolate sneaking in. Flavor is sweet cherry and raisin with a yeasty spice finish. Palate is syrupy and tangy. Hides alcohol well, but is warming. A pretty tasty brew, but not very complex.

Bottled. Dark reddish brown with a cream colored head. Aroma of yeasts, malts, cherry and raisin. Flavors of malt, cherry and alcohol permeates. A very pleasing and well balanced quad. I will be buying more of this.

2008 bottle. Colour is between amber and reddish. Aroma is a bit like too old fruits and earth at first, but after a while (while bear warms and breaths a bit) it gets better. Flavor is well balanced and full, with taste of alcohol and hints of fruits.

Bottle. Clear ruby colored body, with a small white head. Aroma is candy sugar, spices and alcohol. Flavor is candy sugar, malt and lots of alcohol. The alcohol is to penetrating for me.
