Dark copper pour with fluffy off white head and excellent lace. toast, caramel malts on the nose. Sweet malts, dark fruit and molasses. Long dry finish BlackForestCO (521), Fort Collins and Black Forest, Colorado, USA Aug 31, 2008 Bottle shared by Crosling, thanks dude. Poured a deep garnet-brown color with a moderate beige head that slowly receded to a ring. Aroma of toasty caramel malt with some brown sugar and sweet plum, dark grapes, fig, and a light yeastiness. Moderately sweet brown sugar entry transitions into a toasty caramel malt followed by some hints of dark fruit (plum, grape, fig) that mingle well with a lightly dry, yeasty finish. Smooth, slick, and full on the palate. scottw86 (102), New York, USA Aug 29, 2008 Poured a deep reddish brown with a full off-white head. Aroma was very rich, some fruity notes, as well as some bannana. Taste was very smooth, hints of apples and grapes. Finish was a bit sour. Very enjoyable. ahnakel (10), , Georgia, USA Aug 29, 2008 This beer was amazing, I think I have a new favorite. This was recommended to me by a friend. I will thank him.
