While I thought the mouthfeel of this beer was quite good, I was not a huge fan of its sour grape and champagne flavor. It is lightly sweet and tastes a bit like dried fruit, which may have been what bothered me (I’m not a fan). Aroma was a bit of a candied fruit sugariness. I had this beer on draft, and it was not unattractive in its martini-like branded glassware - a hazy red color with a white scummy head of inconsistently sized tiny bubbles. Still, i was not a huge fan of this beer.

Sep 6, 2008 Biere de couleur caramel brumeux avec un tres bon collet moyennement collant. Odeur de pommes, raisins, alcohol, cerises, fraises, sucre, pores, un style sucon rouge. Gout de sucre, sel , raisins, un peu d’alcohol, miel , houblon. Une biere crémeuse et semi huileuse.

Aug 31, 2008 Bottle shared by Crosling, thanks dude. Poured a deep garnet-brown color with a moderate beige head that slowly receded to a ring. Aroma of toasty caramel malt with some brown sugar and sweet plum, dark grapes, fig, and a light yeastiness. Moderately sweet brown sugar entry transitions into a toasty caramel malt followed by some hints of dark fruit (plum, grape, fig) that mingle well with a lightly dry, yeasty finish. Smooth, slick, and full on the palate.

Aug 29, 2008 Poured a deep reddish brown with a full off-white head. Aroma was very rich, some fruity notes, as well as some bannana. Taste was very smooth, hints of apples and grapes. Finish was a bit sour. Very enjoyable.
