Big estery earthy fruit flavor with oranges and bananas. Has a nice boozy tang to finish. Enjoyed this one. dalepryor (172), Paducah, Kentucky, USA Jun 23, 2008 Dark orange with frothy white head, aromas of oranges and bananas, flavor is sweet with alcohol burn and candy and I’m still picking up some citrus. kiefdog (1534), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 18, 2008 33cl bottle from Total Wine (Jacksonville, FL). Pours a light brown with a tan, creamy head. Aroma is floral in character with notes of a fruit and spice as well. Flavor is complex with notes of a subtle sweetness throughout, hints of honey, raisin, caramel and pepper. TheGrandMaster (1846), Auckland, New Zealand Jun 14, 2008 Updated: Jun 15, 2008Bottle (in NZ), pours a dark mahogony colour with a large yellowish frothy head. A sweet fruity and carmal malt aroma with just a hint of peppery spice. A full, but quite carbonated mouthfeel. A lot of alcohol on the palate, which is just a little raw for me, dominating the peppery flavour. Reminiscent of a spicy vodka for me - that alcohol comes through just way too strong. marcus (1821), Sacramento, California, USA Jun 13, 2008 This orange ale poured with a thin off-white head that dissipated quickly. There is a strong aroma of candy and caramel malt. The flavor is candy and raisin, with harsh spice and pepper at the finish and lots of carbonation. redlight (1445), Winter Park, Florida, USA Jun 11, 2008 Dark fruits on the nose, prunes, and raisons with candi sugar. Pours a dark blonde almost amber with a thick white head. Caramalized sugars, unrefined sugars, slightly caramelly with light fruits, green raisons, apple skins, malty with a spicy finish. Overall a good beer!
