JensenTaster (1585), Denmark Mar 14, 2008 (on stoneworked bottle) Deep orange, small white head. Lovely, both herbal and alcoholic nose; I really dig these spiced beers. The taste is more maled, but there´s still a light, wood feel to it. The mouht is slightly foamy and really good grain rounded. Finishes of quite alcoholic and strong, with hints of canesugar and dry straws. A treat. vadavid (131), Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA Mar 12, 2008 I can’t recall having as much difficulty with a corked and caged bottle as I had with this one. Perseverance paid off and we were greeted by a attractive glass of marmalade-orange color with a thick, frothy off-white head. The head dropped fairly soon leaving lots of lacing. The aroma of the Koningshoeven was a sweet fruitiness with yeast and mild pepper in the background. The flavor has fruit at the forefront; oranges and apples, and not overly sweet. Hop bitterness is restrained. There’s a very nice malt balance to the flavor with a slight pepper note added in the aftertaste. The 8% ABV was very well-masked in this Belgian triple. Mouthfeel is moderately thick and creamy. There’s just the right amount of refreshing carbonation. joohefner (380), Isla Vista, California, USA Mar 12, 2008 deep gold with a fluffy white head and decent lacing. sweet fruity clove aroma. medium body. sweet honey malt flavors with a banana and melon fruitiness. light clove and hop notes. it is overall a little on the sweet side, similar to affligem WISEGUY572 (1244), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 11, 2008 It’s a tripel and it’s a good beer. But it’s not my favorite. Pours much darker than I would have expected from an Abbey tripel. Not nearly the yeasty or bready flavors I expected. Darker pour, great lacing, enjoyable, but not exactly a tripel. markwise (1132), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA Mar 9, 2008 Overall a very good tripel. It pours a dark gold color with a very small white head. It has very distinct fruity (apple?) notes with a bitter and malty finish. I would drink this again, but it is not my #1, their Quad on the other hand... wow. cyrenaica (435), Milton, Ontario, Canada Mar 7, 2008 20oz draught

I tried this beer on January 17, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto. The beer poured a dark translucent golden brown with a thin tan head. The aroma consisted of sweet malt and vanilla. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was sweet malt, plums, a little caramel, and a little vanilla. Bartzilla (441), San Diego, California, USA Mar 2, 2008 750ml. Looks like a tripel. Tastes like one, too. Some faint, yet distinct metallic tone there towards the end, but it doesn’t harm the overall experience. I’ll give it the fact that it’s traveled long and far to get to this point to where I won’t bitch over a little off flavor. Very easy drinking. I should have gotten 2 of them and fired up some xbox Table Tennis. GJF (480), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA Feb 28, 2008 Updated: Jul 8, 2008A solid tripel. Copper colored pour with a tan head (doesn’t really last and no real lacing, though). Yeasty aroma and flavor. The finish is on the sweet side. Highly carbonated. It’s got all the goods here, just nothing spectacular.
