Goblincat (356), Westland, Michigan, USA Aug 31, 2007 Pours a dark amber, with a decent white head. The aroma is a candy sugar, sour fruit, and yeast. The taste is pretty much the same as it smells. iowaherkeye (1832), Bakersfield, California, USA Aug 29, 2007 750mL bottle, no date. Clear orange amber with a 1 1/2 finger yellowish white head that fades to a film fairly quickly. Candy sugar, fruity yeast consisting of pear and apple, a bit of spicy pepper and some stale herbal hops. Hints of plastic are also present. Flavor is much the same with some definite alcohol presence, though nothing crazy. Some light ripened bananas add to the candy sugar sweetness, but the hops do a good job of keeping things balanced (not too sweet), barely earthy, and herbal. There is something in here I can’t put my finger on that I’ve had in many beers, so we’ll come back to it if I remember throughout this bottle--update--is it brown sugar and/or juicy raisins? Semi-dry peppery finish. Moderate carbonation with a medium to full body--seems to be a bit flatter than most tripels I’ve had. A solid beer, though nothing phenomenal. pjweaver (133), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 23, 2007 Pours a dark honey orange/bronze with a lightly off-white head. First taste bursts with spice and pear tones with a little citric acidity. Heavy body for the lighter color with a clingy palate and muted tangy taste afterwards. Overall a nice tripel, and worth the haul back home. emotv (331), Izmir, Turkey Aug 17, 2007 Get it from Brussells market, orange colour, sweety and fruity taste, good bodied. Gummy taste afterwards great beer. benhwilkinson (24), Little Soudley, Shropshire, England Aug 17, 2007 bottle.Nice clear orange appearance, with an aroma of fruit and brown sugar.Sweet finish with no bitterness
