Bottle. orange amber color- a bit darker than i expected - with a thin tan head. Sweet malt, yeast and honey aroma. flavor yeasty, with sweet grain and yeast. Not bad, but a bit disappointing.

Bottle. Pours a lovely slight hazy orange. Head is made up of lots of small milky white bubbles with a distinct creaminess on the top - a little lacing. Aroma is nice and fruity. A milky feel blending with a yeasty edge. Very full mouthfeel, very creamy for the style. Flavour is very complex. Begins with a powerful vinious edge, then a general sweetness comes through. It blends a nice spicyness with the malty sweetness and a tone of alcohol. Apples, berries, plums, raisins and a touch of oranges. Great!

Bottle: Caramel in color, somewhat dirty and hazy, large pillowy off-white head, spotty lacing.   Big bready malty nose, seems fairly sweet.   Floral aspects are subdued.   Slight alcohol is noticeable.   Heavy breadiness on the tongue.   Slightly bright but not burning.   Towards the end it does become hotter.   This one needs to mellow a bit.   Aromatic, but not all that floral.   Clean finish, just lingering alcohol.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Quite heavy for a Tripel, and hot.   This could use some time.   Wished it was not as heavy, and that it also be a bit more floral.

Hazy yellow. Has a wheatish feel to it, but a lot stronger than you average german weissen. It’s kind of sweet with only a mild bitterness in the finnish. Very fruity, spicy and estery. Like it a lot better than the double.

Bottle. It poured a bit unclear, copper colored and topped by a big diminishing beige head leaving nice lacings. Caramel, roasted, alcohol, spices and a bit metallic aroma. The flavor has caramel, dried fruits, some hops and spices, and is quite sweet. Full, sweet and a bit warming mouthfeel. Sweet and warming finish as well, with some hops and metal. There’s a tad much caramel in this tripel, yet it is a nice brew. (070416)
