Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England Feb 7, 2007 Bottle (from Bitter Virtue, BB Jul 08). Deep coppery orange colour. Fruity yeast and coriander on the nose. Well rounded mouthfeel slightly creamy but not overly sweet. Some hints of bitter zest in the mouth with more summer stoned fruits. A full and tasty tripel perhaps more suited to drinking incolder weather than many but I would prefer it to feel just a touch more bright and breezy. Rynoplasty (500), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Feb 6, 2007 Pours golden brown with a small white head. Aroma is yeasty, with some fruity smells as well as a slightly metallic odor of some kind. Taste is malty and sweet, with a slightly fruity, bitter aftertaste. Besides the metallic smell it is very good, of course I am using a gold rimmed trappist glass, but have never noticed this before when using it. Still a good tripel, just not the best. omhper (12155), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 1, 2007 Draught at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Clear ddep golden, very brief head. Nice buttery malt mixes with almody yeast in the nose. Sweet with above medium body and rather soft mouthfeel. Mild flavours of Old English Marmelade and flowery yeast. Not the most adventurous of tripels, but a solid effort that I certainly wouldn’t mind paying for again. mephisto (1144), Taiwan Jan 29, 2007 couldy orange with lively carbonation, the aroma is yeasty with a hint of sweet fruit. the flavor is also pleasantly fruity, good brew. Dorqui (1353), Brescia, Italy Jan 14, 2007 Updated: Sep 13, 2007Bottled 0,75L [Dominus Triple].
Compact and creamy head, optimal resistance. Nice intense orange, copper color with clear glares; much fraught and hazy with discreet fizz. Rich and alcoholic scent, many pleasant notes of plum, stum, ferment and withered grape. Violent, round, extremely alcoholic and liqueury taste with determined and sweet body. GRM (1237), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada Jan 11, 2007 Brown bottle, 330 ml, best before 08-04; eye: flat brown with reddish reflections, nice comact beige head, good effervescence, hazy, suspended matter, opaque; nose: madeira, malt, basement, light oxidation, caramel; mouth: madeira, malt, caramel, oxidation, finale in malt with a hint of oxidation and a hint of coriander, mildly sweet, medium body, syrupy texture, not much carbonation; overall: disappointing but it was oxidized, I will have to drink it again, oh well, that is just too bad, eht?

Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark Jan 4, 2007 Nice, silky smooth and creamy head. The aroma is fruity, hoppy. Flavour, well I admit that La Trappe has a very, special place in my heart, I simply like their beers!! I find notes of candy sugar, ripe fruits and a nice bitterness - overall a nice tripel. Jwasciuk (194), Lowell, Michigan, USA Jan 2, 2007 Pours hazy medium amber, creamy off-white head. Aroma is moderatly malty; cookies and hay, lightly hoppy and heavily yeasty; rasins and prunes? Flavor is mainly sweet and lightly bitter with an average finish. Medium to full bodied oily and lively. This would definatly fair better with some ageing.
