Draught at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Clear ddep golden, very brief head. Nice buttery malt mixes with almody yeast in the nose. Sweet with above medium body and rather soft mouthfeel. Mild flavours of Old English Marmelade and flowery yeast. Not the most adventurous of tripels, but a solid effort that I certainly wouldn’t mind paying for again.

Bottled 0,75L [Dominus Triple].
Compact and creamy head, optimal resistance. Nice intense orange, copper color with clear glares; much fraught and hazy with discreet fizz. Rich and alcoholic scent, many pleasant notes of plum, stum, ferment and withered grape. Violent, round, extremely alcoholic and liqueury taste with determined and sweet body.

Brown bottle, 330 ml, best before 08-04; eye: flat brown with reddish reflections, nice comact beige head, good effervescence, hazy, suspended matter, opaque; nose: madeira, malt, basement, light oxidation, caramel; mouth: madeira, malt, caramel, oxidation, finale in malt with a hint of oxidation and a hint of coriander, mildly sweet, medium body, syrupy texture, not much carbonation; overall: disappointing but it was oxidized, I will have to drink it again, oh well, that is just too bad, eht?

Nice, silky smooth and creamy head. The aroma is fruity, hoppy. Flavour, well I admit that La Trappe has a very, special place in my heart, I simply like their beers!! I find notes of candy sugar, ripe fruits and a nice bitterness - overall a nice tripel.

Pours hazy medium amber, creamy off-white head. Aroma is moderatly malty; cookies and hay, lightly hoppy and heavily yeasty; rasins and prunes? Flavor is mainly sweet and lightly bitter with an average finish. Medium to full bodied oily and lively. This would definatly fair better with some ageing.

Murky dark orange body topped by a long lasting thin off-white head. Very tasty and thick beer. Like a fruits & vegetables soup. Flavour of ripe peach, ripe plums, ripe pears, more tropical fruits, some cooked vegetables (including carrots!!!). All that swimming in caramel and a teaspoon of corriander. Overall taste of earthy ripe stuff. Filling. A little bitterness at the very end. Could have been very good but the very ripe flavour was a bit too much. Anymore “soupy” and it would be sold in a can.

An amber beer with a white big head that disappearing leaves many laces on the glass. The flavour is spicy and fruity, not bad but maybe too much alcoholic presence. Very fruity and sweet flavours, with only light bitterness and too much alcohol for my taste. Quite good finish. Not bad but I expected more.
