Intense spicy banana aroma with fruity notes and licorice. Sweet fruity licorice taste, slightly stale. Sharpish mouthfeel. Some alcohol heat. Milky tobacco notes with some chalk and ash. Maybe a bit old, or poorly stored? Good, but disappointing. (0.33l bottle from Systembolaget, Charlottenberg. BBD 2010-04. Wonder if this shop really treats its beers well.) ante (2969), Stockholm, Sweden

Sweet, nutty and yeasty aroma with notes of toffee. Sweet flavour of apricot, honey, spices and herbs. Quite flat body. Slighty spicy and hoppy finish. Nothing special, a decent tripel. Aroma has wheat and fruit, and I’m happy this tripel is not dominated by alcohol. Flavor is sweet with malt and more fruit, very lightly spiced. bb (2941), Martinez, California, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 24, 2005 Pours an attractive hazy amber color with a thin offwhite head that leaves decent lacing on the glass. Aroma of doughy yeast with very mild citrus and spices. The doughy yeast is also present in the flavor, it’s accompanied by tart citrus, mild sweet finish, there’s a lingering bittersweet feeling that remains in the mouth for a while and it’s kind of unpleasant. Full body, oily texture, soft to medium carbonation. Decent but not woth of buying another bottle, like their Blond and Dubbel. skortila (2914), Bunnik, Netherlands

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 27, 2007 This beer is a mostly clear orange-amber color with a medium thick off-white head that dissipates slowly. Thin spotty rings of lacing. The aroma contains yeast, malt, sour fruit and light spices. Medium-bodied with a nice spice/yeast character. Flavors of tart fruit, candi sugar, peppery spices and yeast are all present. The finish is fruity and yeasty and leaves a mild herbal hops aftertaste. This beer is enjoyable from start to finish. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 29, 2006 Updated: Dec 29, 2009Murky dark orange body topped by a long lasting thin off-white head. Very tasty and thick beer. Like a fruits & vegetables soup. Flavour of ripe peach, ripe plums, ripe pears, more tropical fruits, some cooked vegetables (including carrots!!!). All that swimming in caramel and a teaspoon of corriander. Overall taste of earthy ripe stuff. Filling. A little bitterness at the very end. Could have been very good but the very ripe flavour was a bit too much. Anymore “soupy” and it would be sold in a can.
