Nice cloudy orange, off white head and sheets of lace to coat the ’Triple Glass’. Pineapple, over ripe banana, malt dominate the nose. Start is sweet, the top light, the finish is slightly sour, or better yet tart, acidic, moderate carbonation and a nice hop spicy bite to finish it off.

Bottle from Corks, Bristol. Amber coloured with a moderate, off-white head. Sweet malty aroma with some orange fruit and tired hops. Flavour was better, with some more sweetness, yeast, nutmeg and citrus fruit, leading to a gently bitter finish. Ok.

Bottle: Caramel in color, somewhat dirty and hazy, large pillowy off-white head, spotty lacing.   Big bready malty nose, seems fairly sweet.   Floral aspects are subdued.   Slight alcohol is noticeable.   Heavy breadiness on the tongue.   Slightly bright but not burning.   Towards the end it does become hotter.   This one needs to mellow a bit.   Aromatic, but not all that floral.   Clean finish, just lingering alcohol.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Quite heavy for a Tripel, and hot.   This could use some time.   Wished it was not as heavy, and that it also be a bit more floral.

Clear amber body with a thin creamy white head. Sweet malty aroma with a fruity edge. Sweet fruity flavor, some banana, and a malty end.

[857-20071127] Tap @ Beer Bistro (Toronto, ON). Grainy wheat aroma is faintly boozy. Clear, orange amber body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. More malty banana and toated wheat with sweet hints of caramel booze. Medium body. Nicely made, interesting.

I’m with Chuck on this one. This beer is not good. The beer pours to a deep caramel apple colored body that’s hazy. A thin white head on top. The aroma is yellow apple skins and yeast. Very strange. The flavor is yellow apple skins and a very strange yeast. I’ve never tasted/smelled anything like this. The palate is sweet, well carbonated, moderately full bodied.

Sweet aroma. Grain, honey, floral notes, a bit of bubblegum esters. Astringent yeast notes. Dark golden amber cloudy with frohy off-white lacing head. Heavy body with medium carbonation. Starts with sugary grainy sweetness, bubblegum and floral notes, mild yeast presence. Light funky sweet finish with dry yeastiness and no bitterness. Sweet after, though not cloying. Nice tripel.

This one looks and smells kinda like a peach, yet i was suprised it was lighter in color than the dubbel. This beer was also headless.
