| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 24, 2007 bottle - Pours cloudy amber with a substantial head and a sweet, yeasty aroma. It’s lively on the palate and sweet in flavor with the yeast apparent and not much alcohol noticeable. It struck me as oddly thin for a tripel, which was the main negative point. This beer is a good one, but I’ve definitely had better tripels. charlotte (2030), Vanløse, Denmark

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 3, 2003 Lightly sugary, sweet, floral aroma, with some melon fruitiness. Medium orange in color with a nicely lasting, billowing, creamy head and intricate sheets of lacing. Flavor has some candi and light brown sugar sweetness, banana, lemon, berry, a slight amount of clove and spiciness, bready and caramel malt and ever-so-faint alcohol. Finish is malty, yeasty and lightly sticky. Medium to full bodied, palate is smooth and a bit thinner than I would have guessed. Pleasant. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 26, 2008 Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark amber color with a large orange-white head. The aroma was sweet, tart, yeasty and had a strong candied fruit note. The flavor was tart, bitter and had a strong cane sugar presence with strong ripe apple and pear. The finish was long tart and tangy. The mouthfeel was thick. Wonderful. decaturstevo (1997), decatur, Tennessee, USA

A brown sugar aroma mixed with yeast and a touch of the 8% as well. A flavor of fruit. It reminds me not in a bad way of apple cider that had gone hard. A nice soft mouthfeel and full palate. A beer I enjoyed very much. radiomgb (1993), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
