| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 4, 2006 Funky sourdough aroma emanates from this cidery hazy brown colored beer. It tastes somewhat better than it smells, with fast fleeting malt, and little else. Only $2.30/11.2 oz, and still not a bargain in my book. matt7215 (972), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 20, 2008 Updated: Jan 28, 2009TAP at the castle on king. 6 oz taster. pours murky golden with an average white head. aromas of funky white wine, some sourness, fruit in the nose as well. flavours are yeasty, sour, funky, belgian candied sugar, vauge hop finish. it was drinkable with soft carbonation. ill try it again but it wasnt the best offering i had tonight. 7/3/7/3/12 BOTTLE. 750 ml bottle from the LCBO. Ive had this in the cellar for a while and cracked it with about 6 months on it. corked 07/08. the bottle wasnt sour like the tap version i tried. incredible soft and sweet. very refined with no alcohol present. nice to look at but lacking the dynamic flavour profile of a really good triple. a let down but still overall pretty decent. i still want to try this one again. 6/4/7/3/12 LordCorkscrew (967), Ronco Scrivia (GE), Italy
Frizzante. Mah RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 15, 2007 Pours a slightly hazed amber brown with a tan head. Nose is the typical Belgian yeast with a touch of sweetness, but seems to be pretty weak. Flavor is smooth with a sweet start. On the end I got a bit of a metallic edge, which I can’t say I appreciated too much. Feel is standard. Typical stuff. It’s definitely drinkable. I consider this more of the type of brew that neither tries to stand out far ahead of the crowd or is too immature to be crap. Smooth and even. It’s a balanced brew. It won’t blow your socks off, but it is even enough to keep you satisfied.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 10, 2003 Deep cloudy orange-amber color with lots of floaties, nice foamy off white head that clings to my glass. Sweet malty spicy yeasty alcohol aroma.Bready sweet fruity flavors, the taste of alcohol is strong, sweet sticky syrupy mouthfeel, the hops are noticable in the finish, not all bad. dortmunder (961), Herdecke, Germany
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 24, 2004 Cloudy dark amber colour. Yeasty, very caramelly taste. Some fruitiness. Alcohol not as prevalent as in the quadruple. I really like this better than quad.
