Slightly hazy orange with an especially strong aroma of fruits, slight alcohol and sweet candy; I really like this smell. The taste is complex, spicy, fruity, very good. This is a very nice tripel.

Hazy, cloudy body with a medium head that will not stay long on the top of the glass. Smooth and easy drinking beer. One of the best Tripel. mgermani (865), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 24, 2009 Pours a lovely rose-gold with a one-finger head with decent retention and some minimal lacing. Aroma is ripe peaches and sweet, almost tangy malt. Tastes fantastic - buttery and warm with well-balanced yet sweet malting, sharp hops without overwhelming, complex with plenty of caramel and raisin-tart. Good carbonation and slightly creamy body. This is easily my favourite tripel - more like their quad in terms of sweetness and complexity. I like! Many thanks to Robin for the trade! taunusmies (277), Finland
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 19, 2008 Pours a bit hazy with beautiful amber colour and a larg e foamy head. Rich, straight taste with notes of liquorice, herbs, sweet malts, toffee, a hint of yeast and hops, flowers and bananas. Smooth mouthfeel, slightly carbonated. Quite light body but still avoids being watery. Alcohol is well hidden, creates a nice warming effect. wilderthanyou (418), Guelph, Ontario, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 19/20 | Oct 25, 2008 Pours a clean manuka honey amber with a quickly killed head. The aroma is light and fruity, some dates, orange cleaning product and spices. A nice flavorful beer, the orange is a pleasant surprise, its almost like a foundation on which the rest of the flavours are built on, there is a good bit of malty sweetness, raisin, caramel, finishes with a hoppy citrusy orange rind flavour. Warm foamy mouth feel clinches the deal. All really pretty fantastic. I don’t know if I would really call this a tripel, but still really fantastic. badlizard (2360), Berkeley, California, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 6, 2008 On tap at the Castle. Probably the best Abbey Triple I’ve ever had. Amazing, enticing fruity aroma of pears mostly, some apple, maybe some peach or apricot. It looks amazing too, not pale and cloudy, but pure amber, and light could get through. Flavour is more or less the same with a great mouth-feel, almost sticky, from the ABV. Very filling and totally different from other Triples I’ve had. I was totally surprised by this one, it really seemed unique to me. One of the best beers I’ve ever had from the Netherlands.
