Pours a murky orangey-amber, with unavoidable transfer of sediment, into a slight and disappearing head. Cidery look. Candy and stewed-fruits aroma and taste. Taste slight clove and warm apple pie, pears dried and stewed. Interesting. After a Chimay Bleu, this beer has tons of flavor, but damn that sediment in the glass looks a mess. Candy and soft bitter-herb aftertaste. What a big aroma. Sheer pleasure in the glass, would get this by the case in spite of all the clumpy ’yeast poop’ swirling around the bottom of that beautiful glass. Quinten (966), zaandam, Netherlands

The aroma is very malty, yeasty, and bready - hints of spice. The taste begins very sweet. The middle of the flavor asserts some mild hop flavor and some fruit (hints of prune). The finish has a little more hops, lots of malty sweetness, yeasty goodness, some spice (nutmeg, cinnamon), and alcohol. The beer is a bit heavy, but the mouthfeel is lightened by the carbonation (not syrupy). The finish is long, sweet, and warming. ajolly2 (127), USA

Nose is the typical Belgian yeast with a touch of sweetness, but seems to be pretty weak. Flavor is smooth with a sweet start. On the end I got a bit of a metallic edge, which I can’t say I appreciated too much. Feel is standard. Typical stuff. It’s definitely drinkable. I consider this more of the type of brew that neither tries to stand out far ahead of the crowd or is too immature to be crap. Smooth and even. It’s a balanced brew. It won’t blow your socks off, but it is even enough to keep you satisfied.

Soft fruity flavour, peach and lemon, caramel and a lot of esters. Soft full body with a very gentle carbonation. A complex and interesting tripel, nicer than some of the other trappist versions. As I recall, this was a good Tripel. I am surpised I had to add this to RateBeer. If I can find the bottle and have not thrown it away, I will submit the picture. emerica56 (585), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA

The nose is nice and sweet with some floral hops and rasins. The flaovr is very malty and grainy initially you can really taste the malted barley mixed with light fruits. The booze is not very apparent which is nice to know it is there but not really accentuiated in the flavor. Overall it is a great brew and the flavor is amazing.
