Nov 21, 2002 Bottle conditioned. Amber coloured, darker than most triples with a moderate thin white head, good condition and lots of yeast chunks in suspension. Complex aromas of alcohol, oranges, caramel, malt and a strangly sugary homebrew note that is explained on the label (but only in German) by the inclusion of cane sugar in the recipe. Label also mentions coriander but this is less apparent. Bready yeast and toffee malt dominate the mouth and the finish is spicy, malty and slightly bitter with an alcoholic tingle.

Feb 19, 2002 Sweet smelling, nice amber/orange color, very hoppy/sweet flavor with slightly bitter aftertaste. A fine beer from an excellent beer producing country.

Nov 23, 2004 Wow, I thought I’d had this one already. Oh well. Nice fruity aroma (orange blossom), big moderate head on weakish orange/amber body. Slightly thin but good flavors of fruit. Nice lingering finish of tannins and caramel. Quite good fora "value" beer such as this (I’ve seen it quite cheap in some beer stores).

May 19, 2006 Dark golden amber with a foamy white head. Nice fruit blend of berries. Sour citrus intial taste that left to a floral finish.

Aug 1, 2006 Slightly murky amber color with pillowy half inch off white head. Excellent lacing. Right out of the bottle the aroma was nice ripe banana. Later the sweet malt, sugar and a hint of yeast spiciness entered the aromatic picture. Solid Belgium flavor of brown sugar, plums, apple juice, banana, grapes, dry malts and yeast. The finish is dry and not too sweet. Very tasty.

May 18, 2008 Pours a cloudy dark amber with a thick creamy off-white head that goes away slowly leaving behind some fantastic lacing. Beautiful! Lots of aroma coming through. Caramel malt, fruit, spice, yeast, and grain. Similar flavor. Very sweet at first but turning bitter toward the finish. Really a good Trippel.

Apr 9, 2007 Sampled a bottle with the gang at LexLarp in St Paul. Pours a dark orange color with a thin head. Aroma of fruity banana with hints of apricots. Taste is nice sweet with hints of peach and apricots. Very sweet aftertaste.
