Aroma has wheat and fruit, and I’m happy this tripel is not dominated by alcohol. Flavor is sweet with malt and more fruit, very lightly spiced. BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Sweet malty spicy yeasty alcohol aroma. Sweet fruity flavors, the taste of alcohol is strong, sweet sticky syrupy mouthfeel, the hops are noticable in the finish. haukur (684), Reykjavik, Iceland

It´s not very bad, but isnt
good, and I´m surprised about this
wannabe Trappist (2,6) [jul 16 2006] To my surprise this turned up at Kaffibrennslan in downtown Reykjavik, with glassware also. Peaches and banana in the nose, some candysugar with a hint of hop bitterness. Small head, plums, sweets and a spicy finish. Nice triple BBB63 (4271), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 13, 2005 330ml bottle aged over a year and served in my La Chouffe tulip:
Golden honey hue with lot of small floaties topped by a fading fizzy head and some lace. The aroma has notes of caramel, candi sugar, pear, apricot, peppery hops, dusty yeast esters and even a hint of powder chocolate. Initial taste offered up a sweet mix of malt and fruit supported closely by a never ending spice character for clove and pepper, I too get some banana as well. A moderate phenolic activity and finished with a light bitter bite. Some lingering tart and wood tones after the drink. The feel is quite lively despite the appearance and is a touch warming and leathery. The whole is better than the parts and I ended up enjoying this quite a lot. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 2, 2006 Dark gold in appearance, thin but creamy head. Aroma was initially quite woody, with hay accents. As it warmed, some cotton candy and alcohol emerged. Flavors were very lightly of apricot, a bit of bread, a dose of oakiness, and a grassy hop finish. Alcohol is quite clearly present throughout, and ultimately detracts from things a bit. Having said that, this isn’t a bad beer by any means. dortmunder (961), Herdecke, Germany

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 14, 2008 (on stoneworked bottle) Deep orange, small white head. Lovely, both herbal and alcoholic nose; I really dig these spiced beers. The taste is more maled, but there´s still a light, wood feel to it. The mouht is slightly foamy and really good grain rounded. Finishes of quite alcoholic and strong, with hints of canesugar and dry straws. A treat.
