| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 7, 2009 Clay bottle. Pours an impressive dark orange amber, cloudy, with a rapidly rising lively cream-coloured head that fades rather quickly. Fruity toffee aroma, sweet, hints of yeast and spices. Sweet palate, full-bodied, a little sticky, with flavours of almonds, marmalade, toffee, bread, and spices. Finish is dry, but not really bitter. Alcohol is a pleasing warmth in the throat. Very nice sipper! thomat (666), Göteborg, Sweden

Hoppy and spicy nose. Bitter, spicy with malt taste. High carbonation and a full body. Balanced, bittersweet finish. Muggus69 (537), Sydney, Australia
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 24, 2007 330ml bottle best before Dec. ’08. Spicy aroma, orange and lemon, cinamon, honey and barley sugar candy sweetness, some dried fruitiness, very nice. Pours a clean deep golden body with a big dense white head and lace. Body is rich, quite surupy, some apparent alcohol, amooth though. Flavour is towards the sweet side with some nice honey like touches of malt, a bit of spice is apparent towards the finish with some orange and dried apricot character in there to entice. A great beer although one might say its lacking is complexity in comparison to other Trappists, and Abbey beers, of this style. kapusta (84), Dover, Delaware, USA

Strong, spicey pear & honey flavor with a nice alcohol back drop. Warming and rich. leeburg (149), Juneau, Alaska, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 31, 2007 33cl. Light golden pour and off-white head. Fruity, sweet, slight wheat and citrus. I think I prefer the dubbels to the tripels in general, but this isn’t a bad beer by any means, as the 3.7 suggests. WesKBob (321), Bethany, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 5, 2008 Pours a nice amber color with moderate, but quickly dissipating head. Aroma is not real strong but is very sweet (almost like those candy circus peanuts we ate as kids) and some floral notes. Flavor is not quite as sweet, but still very fruity, with notes of banana and yeast. Medium boded and a dry finish that hides the alcohol well. A solid beer, but not the best tripel out there. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 1, 2008 Updated: Feb 26, 2009...bottle at a local cafe. This stuff was a great treat, and I was impressed that the small place had it. Fruity nose, great pour with a lasting, frothy head. Balanced sweetness, with a relatively dry finish, makes it a very well balanced beer. I have only seen it at that one place, so it’s hard to find. I suggest you try this if you like Trappist beers. :Update: in 500 ml cask. Much smoother in the corked cask, fruitier, and overall a better tripel when drank from the cask. I liked it even more, I felt like a monk, ahhaha.
