Nice flavor, more carbonation than the Quad, perhaps even more fruit in the flavor, but definately the same smoothness. I think I am growing fonder of Trapist Ales . . .

Complex taste. Kind of sour with some weird flavor in the background. Some alcohol taste. Still very enjoyable. ;)

Spicy, but still has a characteristic Belgian (yeah, I know it’s actually Dutch) musty, malty swetness. Nicely balanced.

Cloudy amber color with an off-white head. Very sweet aroma, full of caramel, grape, cherry and prune. Thick sweet dark fruit, malt and alcohol flavors, with a crisp lightly hoppy finish. Very barleywine like.

(4 Jul 04) Cloudy, dark amber/orange with a large, fizzy white head that lasts well. Light flowery nose with malt and a touch of peach. The full, sweet body is warmed by alcohol and finishes long with a slight bitterness.

Bright hazy orange with large white head. Strong aroma resembling chardonnay at first, yeast, vanilla. Medium-full body, sweet like cake frosting, hints of citrus, apples, and yeast, dry finish. Well balanced overall, alcohol well hidden. A very tasty and solid tripel.

Fruity, pear ,mango banana, aroma, that great fruit basket aroma,Belgians are so known for, taste is multi fruit, and candy fruit sweetness, hints of a little hop bitterness in finish, flawless ,chirpy, sings of a beautiful fresh orchard, a classic Trappist. I must have gotten a super fresh bottle,it was so enjoyable
