Commercial Description:
Brewed at the Florida Beer Co, Melbourne, under license. La tropical represents a full-bodied beer with a strong, clean import taste, that provides a pleasant drinking experience. Its rich body leaves delicate patterns of "Brussels lace" (small bubbles of foam) in the glass, an indicative o the high quality and freshness of La Tropical.

12 ounce bottle at La Carreta in Miami, FL some time ago. Nothing special, just refreshing.

Bottle: Pour was very light golden. Tasted of light malt, rice, and corn. Very sweet overall. Somewhat drinkable but not enjoyable. I seriously love beers that try to church their flavor with phrases such as "premium beer" or "only brewed with the best ingredients." The green bottle also gave away the quality of the brew. Only drink this brew if you want to get trashed and not enjoy a good beer.

Bottle. Pale golden color with a minimal head. Sour, skunky aroma and a sour grain and vegetal taste. The only thing even remotely enjoyable was the slight malty finish. I thought I remembered my high school spanish but is cerveza spanish for urine specimen? That would explain this awful beer. The odd thing is my pet rat really lapped this one up and we usually agree on our ratings. Not this time little buddy, the second bottle is all yours!

Bottle sampled at La Guardia restaurant in Chicago. The body was bright gold with a white colored head. The aroma was malty bread with some vegetable character. The taste was spicy with some bell peppers. Crisp and malty. With a clean finish, this was good. Plenty of carbonation.

A gift from Brittany :): Pours a hazey golden colour with a thin white malted head. A full flavored, heavy pils, with aromas of pear, apple and biscuits. full on the palate, with a generous clean hop finish. i can see this being a nice summertime refresher.

(cleaning out my beer bottle collection as pictured in my profile and utilizing ratebeer.com) As I recall, this was nothing special.

A very mediocre beer with a lack luster flavor. Has a slight off flavor towards the end of the palate. But...just like most of Florida Beer Co’s beers, it can be refreshing on a balmy Florida day.

At FBC. Slightly deep golden pour. Light malt on the nose very light hint of citrus. Flavor of semi sweet malt hints of hop a medium bitter that is not all hops. A bit over carbonated and slightly thin even for a pils. Just average but not bad in anyway average but drinkable.
