Blah..I don’t like golden/blond ales much as it is and this is scraping the bottom of the barrel. Slight hint of sugar and sweet malt in the aroma, with just a hint of bread. Pour was a light gold with a one finger white head. Taste was very thin and watery. Could pick up hints of rice(?) and sweet malt but seemed to change to water mid sip. This is awful.

Smells of nice sweet malts. Pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Tastes like a fairly generic ale, but nice considering its from labatt

Bottle in sampler set from Sam’s. Poured golden color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Medium sweet grassy hoppy aroma. Medium body with lively carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. My expectations were met.

Twist off cap for a decent cooked bread yeasty aroma. In glass some permanent hair treatment smells arise, but it is still rather clean. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager color and appearance. Good tingly carbonation greets the palate. The taste is clean and fun with little offensive impressions, if any. Almost as tasty as many ’wheat’ beers that I have had in the past. Some hop bitterness begins to build thru the session but for the most part it is well controlled. Finishes with a mildly processed lager attribute. Overall not bad. Not as good as North Country Northern Lite. On par with Rivertowne Golden Mountie and certainly much better than Kochs Golden Anniversary Beer.

Pours a pale gold with small white head. I poured it from a bottle. Tastes a little watery to me but a decent beer.

(bottle - 11.5 oz) Pale golden color with a fizzy white head. Aroma smells like normal Labatt. Dry and grassy with some corn, hops, and metal flake. Flavor is smooth and grainy with a little hop bitterness and a dry grain and malt finish. Not a bad session beer.

I just had the John Labatt Classic before this one and this is pretty similar but does have a couple differences. This one has less carbonation and is a little more bitter. The Classic was better but this is still quite drinkable.

11.5 oz bottle. From variety pack. Not that great.
