| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jan 17, 2008 Poured from a 12oz bottle and served in a shaker. This beer poured a crystal clear straw yellow with a quickly vanishing head of white foam. No lace. The aroma of the beer was made up of very faint grain/corn notes. The flavor was similarly bland with nothing inviting to make you want to take another drink. The mouthfeel was light-bodied, watery, and moderately carbonated. Not good. spikester (602), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 17, 2008 One of the few macros I enjoy on occasion. Costco sells short cases for about $10 US. The "blue" is the only Labatt product I have tasted. Wouldn’t mind trying some of the others.
Pours and looks like most other macros. Better aroma and taste than typical. No bad flavors or smells. Can’t comare to most good craft beers but it available almost any better grocery store. A good choice for a barbeque not too heavy a flavor profile for most people. aliendan (25), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 12, 2008 Looks and tastes like every other North American macro but with less of the unpleasant corn character of its USA counterparts. Transparent and easy to drink in quantity but still too close to water to be particularly satisfying. stangger (155), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jan 10, 2008 It’s Canada’s budweiser equivalent. Suitable for college campuses across the frozen tundras of our neighbors to the north, eh ?
I just noticed another review used almost the same terminology. Good call. thekmoonlegend (93), Lynn, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 7, 2008 Golden color, a little darker than most pale lagers. Head is average and goes away quickly. Not much aroma. Grainy flavor but finished nice and smooth. A decent cheap pale lager. AMN (127), Dublin, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jan 6, 2008 On the darker side of yellow. Sweet, grainy taste makes it bearable as it starts to warm up. I imagine the aroma is that of the 3rd period at a Leafs game. It could be worse. Rumpleganjskin (34), USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | Jan 4, 2008 This is a beer I can drink, but try drinking anything you consider good and then have on of these. You will wish you never opened the can/bottle. I think they have decreased in quality since the 90’s...Sorry hosers. Drjohnrock (95), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 31, 2007 11.5 ounce bottle from variety "John Labatt Heritage Pack" purchased at Biggs. Very pale yellow color, sweet grainy aroma, rapidly but not completely diminshing head with some lacing, light to moderate sweet flavor. Did this beer (a) have more character back in the 80s, or (b) has my palate become more discriminating, or (c) both? I suspect (c) is the correct answer. Yes, it’s still much better than Duddumber The Serf Of Beers or Diller Low Life the Champagne Of Bottled Water but that’s faint praise--a bunch of chimpanzees turned loose in the brewery could do better than those two brands loved by redneck losers everywhere.
