The nose was sweet like corn with a little hop aroma shining through. The corn sweetness is up front overpowering the barley in the taste, then mild hop flavor and a dry finish. Carbonation was medium. As far as adjunct beers go this was richer than most. The balance made it more drinkable than most mass produced beers. maeib (4728), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England

Even though there were two cask ales I’d not rated I still thought why not try this one! A mistake but hey. A cold gold colour with a whitish head and some lacing. The aroma is thin just a little ice and water. The taste is reasonably decent. A little hop note. Clean and nothing nasty, just ordinary. duffman462 (162), Gainesville, Florida, USA

Not bad on a hot day. Has a lot of flavor for a macro, and easily beats anything else for the price. Nice clean finish, just enough hops to be noticed, enough flavor to actually taste like beer...and I can find at almost any store and restaurant. Canadianlush (169), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 11, 2007 OK it’s not going to wow anyone, if it does I feel sorry for you, but as far as mass produced beer goes, this one tops all of its American competition. Darker than the others it has a mildly satisfying taste that’s definitely stronger than it’s challengers, yet it’s still average at best. IrishBoy (2712), Bakersfield, California, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 5, 2007 Bottle; not the typical pale lager nose; sweet cotton candy and caramel; gold with a small white head; sweet wheaty flavor, with a touch of caramel; tingly mouthfeel; much better than Bud, coors, etc! lumberjack (178), Michigan, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Feb 3, 2007 Sadly one of the better "domestic" beers available in this area. Overly carbonated, with a somewhat sweet aroma and taste. Almost nothing on the palate or aftertaste. I prefer it over some others, but certainly nothing special. orville (160), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA
