Bland, boring, and not really any better than Blue, just different in a gross way. Not surprising that even old men don’t buy this anymore. You’re better off getting Lucky Lager, as there’s barely a difference. sinkhole (178), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 24, 2006 Standard light yellow appearance, with a bit of a white head. A slightly stronger malt flavouring than most macro lagers. Worth checking out but probably not sticking with. MrManning (1655), London, Ontario, Canada
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Apr 11, 2006 Thanks Jimmy for this one! Bottle- Sparkly gold pour emits a loud and fizzy bleached white head, with little retention. Mostly grainy aroma with a slight skunk. Stale hops flavours offer more flavour than blue, but after reading the description about Saaz hops, I tried to detect these very distinguishable hops, and couldn’t. There’s more flavours here, but I can’t put my finger on it. Better than blue in any event. Doesn’t seem to be too popular in my area. pintbypint (1021), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Some malt flavour, faint hops in the finish with some notes of grain and minerals. Highly carbonated, thin body. collieman (191), montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Mar 9, 2006 wanted to try this for a while, and I’m dissapointed. I refiuse to belive that this is "unchanged in recepie since the 1800’s" as this tastes, much like okeef does now, like a very modern beer with just a splash of old world flavor in it. And it’s not realy a hoppy taste anyways, it’s a little maltyer. That’s it that’s all. Overall Nice, light, plesant taste of light malt, medium high carbonation, and a lingering skunky aftertaste. Everything but the aftertaste screams out lawnmower beer. Cheers. {oh ps, I think if this is the unchanged way it tasted back when it was created, I CAN belive it was labat’s first lager ever, seing as they still can’t seem to get it right. Cheers} beanmedic (324), Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 1, 2005 Pretty standard macro lager. Bit maltier with a sort of odd mild bite to it at times. Average palate. Not unpleasant but not a whole lot going on either. Enjoyed as a groomsmen at the Blevins-Graham wedding. iambeer (255), Ontario, Canada
