340ml bottle. Bottle labeled ’Honey Lager’. Twist off top. Poured a medium and clear golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas of some honey and grainy. Tastes of the same honey and grainy. There’s nothing special about this one but then again there isn’t anything really ’offensive’ either.

From the bottle it poured a rich golden body with a short-lived fizzy head. Not a bad aroma, if faint, honey sweetened grains lightly bittered by grasses. The flavor failed to deliver and added an element of mineral water. Drinkable, but there’s not much reason for that.

Dark golden color with a moderate fluffy off-white head. Light malt and grain aromas. A touch of grass and very little else. Light toasty malt flavors with... searching, searching, no that’s about it. Crisp and dry, I can say that. Little else. A perfect brew after the BADger game today.

Bottle in sampler from Sam’s. Poured hazy golden color with a moderate white frothy head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate grassy sweet aroma. Medium body with lively carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a sweet finish of moderate duration. This was a drinkable beer.

Bottle from sample pack at Pat’s. Pale gold pour with aroma of pale malt, mild honey and hopcitrus. Watery palate with mid-palate hopcitrus and not much honey flavor, but a fairly crisp finish. I wouldn’t buy this again, but I probably wouldn’t turn it down if someone bought me one at a bar.

Dark gold colour with creamy white head. Corny aroma with little honey in aroma. Crisp amlt and adjuncts with sweet honey finish. Tin aftertaste. This sucks. Jan. 2005.

Lightly skunky and somewhat lactic, berry-like herbal aroma that definitely seems quite sweet. Clear deep golden coloured body is topped by a low but lasting dense white head that leaves some lacing on the sides of the glass. Decent balance between low malt sweetness and low but notable bitterness in the short-lived flavour with some residual sweetness on the tongue. Somewhat watery and very dry with moderately strong carbonation. Lager glass, fridge temp. Bottle. Thanks, Lubiere!

Draught "recommended with appetizer" at Fionn MacCool’s. *DREADFUL* Pours a nice reddish amber, little bubbling, minimal very white tiny-bubbled head, but fairly prominent drapes of lacing. Downhill from here. Aroma - what there is of it - is sickly malty-sweet, nasty grainy, perhaps honey-ish (probably just suggested by the name). Taste - ohmygawd - like a bad Labatt’s Blue (yes, I said that) - grainy, some stale hops and sour, clapped-out malt - with an overpowering shitty, fake honey taste pounding my taste buds. Palate - well, at least it is quick to diminish. But hey, it’s "$25 for a 2-4!" - another abomination by our friends at the "L"
