blipp (1631), Newark, New Jersey, USA Oct 25, 2009 Bottle. Clear light gold with a thin head. The aroma has granny smith apples and a boozy hint. Strange sweet flavor, a hint of booze. Not that good. angrybeerman (107), Dublin, Ireland Aug 24, 2009 Bought this because it was cheap. No smell to speak of and didn’t look appealing. Not much flavor until the finish when it is absolutely awful and it lingers. One of the worst beers I’ve ever had. AskForJenny (627), Ontario, New York, USA Jul 22, 2009 Purpose built one-way ticket to cottonmouth land. Overly sweet and out of balance with a metallic grab at the end. Undrinkable when over 40 degrees F. GMUcrew7 (353), Mason, Ohio, USA Jun 5, 2009 99 cent 24 oz can with an odd "No ID needed" sale sign. Pours crystal clear light gold color with a fast dissipating white head. Sweet malty aroma, a little skunky but not too bad. Surprisingly decent flavor, I’ve certainly had much worse that costs much more. Sweet malt flavor is dominant, really not much else (which is a good thing). For an "ice" beer it isn’t too bad. jeremytoni (1069), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA May 11, 2009 From a can poured a clear golden color with a fair amount of head. Kind of a skunky bitter flavor with a lingering finish. Kind of what you expect for a $2 24 oz. can. GG (1613), NorCal, California, USA May 8, 2009 Not sure what it is about Canadian beers, but I always seem to enjoy them even when they are bad. Not saying Labatt Ice is bad, but it’s far from good. Still, it does have a time and place..and tonight was the time and place for me.
Definitely a bit stronger and hops are evident in the aroma, as it had that earthy hop character that I suppose is some kind of noble hop. Musty, corny with a bit of sweetness. Appearance was fine, with a light yellow body and a tall, 2" frothy head. Flavors are not really harsh, but I did drink this pretty cold. I could only imagine this turning to drain cleaner really quickly. Grassy and sweet with a smooth finish. I’ve had much much worse, and for 95 cents, it was worth it. Watched as my Celtics went up 3-2 in the playoffs. kazooka (39), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA Apr 27, 2009 Stale corn aroma. Fain yellow urine color with frothy white head. Medium sweet flavor with short finish. Light body, thin feel, and soft carbonation. Cheap swill. jimmack34 (560), Lancaster, Ohio, USA Feb 23, 2009 24 oz can. Poured into a lager glass. Smells of alcohol and corn. Tastes like corn boiled in piss and fermented. Lots of alcohol flaor. Pretty nasty.
