It was an easy going beer but it had a strange sort of aftertaste I remember. It was in a weird green bottle with an ugly silver lable but I drank alot of it becuase it was the only Canadian beer I could find for that price. Not horrible. | 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Feb 22, 2008 24oz. can. Pours the usual fizzy golden macro hue with a short lived one finger head that settles into a thick collar. The usual macro fizziness, lots bubbles. Aroma is the usual cheap malt, corn, cooked veggie/wet cardboard macro bouquet. Taste is clean, sweet, light malt with little or no hops to get in the way. The flavor is really light & subdued for an "ice" beer. All-in-all, it’s your basic, amped-up macro beer. Good for backyard cookouts, tailgate parties, or like tonight, washing down some takeout Buffalo Wings. The kind of stuff you thought was the bomb as a teenager, but now realize is just swill. If you’re gonna go this route, grab some Molson XXX instead. badinplaid (103), USA

Dry taste, smooth going down, not really worth drinking considering its not that much more alc than Labatt Blue, but the taste is far less enjoyable. Molson XXX maybe a better choice for Canadian high gavity beers. jredmond (1074), New Jersey, USA

I expected this to be similar to natty ice...and Ive had both nattty light and labatt and preferr labatt obviously. So basic logic let me assume that labatt ice would be better than natty ice. Im not sure...though. Aroma is nothing. Taste is a bit dry but smooth. The taste of alcohol is more dominant in this than in a Mad Elf. Its better than natty ice though.
