Light grainy hop aroma. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Soft noppy crisp flavor with a short smooth finish. Smooth drinkable brew. oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA

Taste is crisp with a nice mellow hop flavor. Still better than Bud/Coors/Miller light products. Nekronos (2265), Xalapa, Mexico

A little watery and like a honney suspicious backtaste. pintbypint (1008), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Oct 18, 2005 341ml brown bottle. Golden pour with thin white head. Sweet aroma almost fruity, with a lot of grain and some alcohol. Taste is sharp grains with a tinge of alcohol and sugar and metal in the finish. Harsh carbonation. blankboy (3212), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours a clear sparkling light gold with a spare diminishing fizzy white head. Mild sugary sweet aroma of malt and grain. Flat, bland flavour is also sweet and grainy and yes, I also detected the bad white wine taste. The pathetic part is how harsh this beer tastes, it tastes more like a 8% or more beer. Another bad Labatt beer. tupalev (2617), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Some alcohol and grain in aroma. Strong cheap white wine Labatt taste. More alcohol and grain. Wow, this is truly awful, but seems to have a lot going on compared to corona. Yeck. | 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Sep 30, 2005 Bottle shared with blankboy, HogTownHarry and tupalev - courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pale gold with a small white head - actually looked OK for the style. Mild aroma with some sweetness and the ubiquitous cheap white wine character that I get off of most Labatt products. Flavour is bland, sweet and grainy, with more crappy wine notes. Finish is harsher than it should be - seemed more like a 7% or 8% beer than a 5.6%. Bleh. | 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Sep 30, 2005 Bottle (341ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow and Tupalev, bottle courtesy of me and LCBO singles bin. Poured pale clear gold, quick diminishing almost white average foamy head. Not much aroma at all - sugary, some stale "hops" and grain, gets typically vegetal on warming. Tasted flat, sugary sweet, alcohol was noticeable (plonky wine taste), a bit wheaty and a pretty strong chemical aftertaste. Mouthfeel harsh and flat, with chemicals: yum. Overall thin, harsh, boring, sugary - another doozy from the big "L".
