Thanks for the beer, pintbypint. The body is black with a hint amber amber highlights. The aroma is light roasted coffee with some chocolate. The taste is sickly sweet oatmeal with some chocolate ceareal. There is also some cucumber to steal a taste from ClarkVV. A bad porter.

341ml brown bottle. Poured a dark cola brown, thin trace of white head ringing the glass at first, then it totally vanishes. Faint sweetness in the aroma. Rather slick, oily mouthfeel. Flavour was rather cola like with cloying sweetness, and a trace of chocolate. A bit metallic.

2005 bottle that I picked up in Montreal based on the Montreal crew’s recommendation. Weak, watery and transparent brown color, no head. Aroma: Wow, it’s moments like this that you live for. . .Pure vegetables, tin, dusty yeast and kind of like licking a big piece of cold metal. But the vegetables definitely take front seat. Cucumber, zuchhini and I don’t even know what else. This is like labbatt blue, only not even that good, with brown coloring added, and a little bit of table sugar added as well. Horrible veggies taste, zesty cardboard and more DMS than you would believe possible. Weak, syrupy/watery body. Should be renamed Labatt Vegetable. Cheers!

yummy, budwesier with a black food coloring tablet dropped into the batch. This smelled of old carrots and potatoes and tasted much worse. Almost like bad rootbeer. Dont waste your money buying a six pack to sample this.

I remember loving this stuff back when all you had to choose from was what the big macros made. This was something different. Now that there is such a choice of beer and I’ve had at least 1000 different since then this stuff ranks way down at the bottom. Pours an almost opaque dark brown colour with a thin head. Weird aroma to it, kind of like a coke and ber mix. Cloyingly sweet and unenjoyable.

Black body with reddish glints and a thin beige bubbly head that fades quickly. Thin and boring lagerish aroma of malt and hops that do not corresponds to what we should expect from a real porter. This really tastes like a mix of flat cola and maple water. Not a beer, and even less a porter... Should be retired from the market.

Pours deep brown with a little creamy tan head. Regular old beer smell with a bit of roast and sweet fruit. Overwhelmingly sweet. No hop at all. Junk.

deep brown, white head. aroma of raisins, sugar and not good. some mild chocolately flavours, but as sweet as a can of coke. no bitterness to be found anywhere. just bad
