BlackDonald (1040), North Carolina, USA Jul 17, 2008 This was kind of unimpressive considering the IPA was so delicious. Has some citrus hop notes as well as a simple malt body that was actually kind of weak, and had just a hint of bitterness in the finish.
after4ever (1719), Brier, Washington, USA Mar 16, 2008 Draft at the brewpub. Slightly cloudy medium amber with bright candied orange highlights. Mild citrus nose--orange and tangerine. Light, somewhat watery body. Could probably do with a bit more carbonation. Mushy mid-palate, caramel and oranges. Not much finish. jcwattsrugger (3942), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Nov 5, 2007 on tap-pours a dissipating white head and yellow color. Aroma is mild citrus hops/cat pee. Taste is mild citrus hops/sweet cat pee, some wheat. shigadeyo (1371), Southwest Ohio Area, Ohio, USA Sep 4, 2007 Pacific Northwest Vacation 2007...
8/18/2007: The color of LaConner Pale is hazy pale yellow with a slightly orange hue to it. There is also a small, forthy white head on top initially. Pale and graining malt are mostly noticeable in the aroma. The flavor is also pale grainy malt along with some toasted malt, a hint of butter, and an accompanying moderate bitterness. The finish is dry and spicy (similar to beers made with rye). The body is medium, but both watering and slightly milky at the same time. I guess a sood way to describe it would be to compate it to the texture of skim milk with droplets of whole milk here and there in it. Overall this was probably my least favorite of the LaConner beers that I sampled...
Draught (5.5% ABV) at LaConner Brewing Company in LaConner, Washington. Rating #5 for this beer...
