jsquire (2012), St. Marys, Ohio, USA Aug 18, 2003 On tap at the Indiana Microbrewers Festival -- Pretty, light amber with a nice off white head and a nose of malt sweetness and a promise of hops. Lots of fruity malt sweetness with a strong hop finish. Tasted late in the event, but since there were no tickets to exchange, I drank several of these during the rain storm. Very enjoyable, drinkable beer. BBB63 (4022), La Porte, Indiana, USA Aug 17, 2003 At Indiana BG Fest: Slighty hazy copper hue with good creamy head and lacing. Roasted malt, spice, orange, grape, wood, musty and earthy aroma. Taste had a fruity start then acidic and crisp middle, and dry metallic finish. Slighty sour undertone detcetd too. Medium-bodied with a warm and soft mouthfeel, Nice ale, good use of English grains but doesn't come off too English.
