Commercial Description:
IBU 30 ABV 5.7% Our take on a classic Scottish ale, this beer utilizes pale, crystal and chocolate malts with a dose of smoked malt. The resulting brew is a rich ruby color with distinctive caramel and toffee notes, followed by a subtle smoky finish. Smooth in character, yet complex enough for the seasoned craft beer drinker.

tap - Pours a slightly hazy dark amber with a lingering head that leaves good lacing. The aroma is light malt. It tastes malty as is typical for the style, but also has a nice hops bite to it. There’s a medium body that goes down smoothly and has a dry finish with mild alcohol.

The aroma was filled with coffee. The body was a dark amber to medium brown. The carbonation offered a brief tingling on the palate. The flavor was a medium-intesity coffee.

On tap at LBC. This beer formed a very small sized light tan head with fine sized bubbles that quickly diminished. The body was carbonated and transparent with an amber brown hue. All I could detect for an aroma was malt and the flavor was sweet, malty and a little smokey tasting. The mouthfeel was smooth and the lacing was fair. A so-so Scottish Ale in my opinion.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small head of fine to medium sized off-white colored bubbles that left behind a good lacing. The body was a transparent carbonated amber brown color. The aroma was very mild and slightly malty. The mouth feel was smooth with a mild tingle The flavor was smooth mild and had a lingering malty red aftertaste. A nice brew but awful thin for a Scottish.

Medium-light brown. Soft malt nose, and soft texture. Has a glazed ham finish, with a middle sweet and smoky flavor. Nice touch on the end. In the front there are some hop bitterness that mellows into the smokiness. Some roasted, coffee flavors.
