Commercial Description:
The presence of Biscuit malt gives this Porter a slight nutty flavor to complement the bittersweet, dark brown porter style.

Roasted nuts, chocolate, and some coffee aroma. Brown to dark brown pour, some foam, not a lot. Roast, nuts, coffee and light chocolate undertones. Rather straightforward. Dry finish. Body is a bit on the thin side. Almost one dimensional, but very drinkable.

aroma of soft chocolate genache melting amogst light sugar. body is opaque with disappearing filth head. flavor is of chocolate and light char at times. hops are present but subdued, pushing their balance from the shadows, providing base bitterness.

Draft… Hazy, dark, burnt orange ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Chocolaty, nutty aroma. Medium to full-bodied and mildly creamy with moderate carbonation. Although perfectly balanced, the flavor is thin and boring; nutty and minerally. Roasted, lightly bitter finish.

Draft at the brewery. This one pours a cloudy chestnut brown color with translucency showing throughout. A quickly fading beige head leaves broken rings of lacing on the glass. The nose gives notes of rich, roasted cocoa and caramel malts, toffee, and toasted biscuit. Hints of coffee and earthy hops add some balancing bitterness. Flavors are similar, the chocolate and caramel tasting a little fudgy and sugar laden, with mild coffee roast and a surprisingly grassy hop finish. Medium bodied and mostly smooth, there is just a shade too much carbonation for my liking. Overall, a tasty brew, and definitely the best of their fledgling lineup.

Caramelly, smokey aromas, chocolate malts, vanilla. Pours a cloudy brown, with a thin tan head. Very thin, caramel malts, citrusy, fruity, light on the palate. Very thin and lacking body for a porter, i’d say its a rich brown ale?

On tap at Oldsmar Tap House. Dark reddish pour, fluffy bubbly sandy head, thick lacing. Some coffee in the nose, mostly fruits. Apple, some mango and pretty prevalent citrus. Fruity flavors, some coffee, very slight roast in the finish, sweet malts and caramel. Drinkable, sweet and good, just not really a porter.

on tap-pours a light tan head and cloudy brown color. Aroma is mild roasty, caramel/chocolate. Taste is coffee/roasty-medium/dark malt, earthy (fuggles?) hops. Chalky. Medium body.

On tap at OTH. It pours brown with copper edges and thin frumpy tan head. The aroma comes across sweet with a touch of caramel then roasted to burnt malts. The taste is much the same with caramel and modest roasty and burnt malts. The caramel note rises into the finish with a bit of dark roasted coffee. Nice stuff.
