Commercial Description:
An easy-drinking gold to amber brew, Minnehaha has a malty base with a noticeable European Noble hop presence. Sit and have a few, this beer is good for quaffing.

drat at the brewery. pours murky golden/orange, white head. Aroma is yeasty, fruity, citrusy and hoppy with hints of yeast. Flavor, yeasty seems to be noticeable in most of their beers, German strain. Light apricot mouthfeel, grainy with some hints of sweetness. Med-high carbonation, almost too carbonated. refreshing with some bitterness in the finish.

Draft… Mostly clear golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is reserved, but provides tender notes of pale grains and fruit – mostly lemon. Medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. The flavor is citrusy and tangy with a lesser notation of mash and a mildly nutty characteristic. Crisp, fairly clean finish.

Draft at the brewery. I was told that this was just kegged and still hadn’t settled, hence the cloudy appearance. Pours a hazy, glowing golden-orange color with a small, foamy, pure white head. Thin, broken lines of jagged lacing circle the glass. The aroma shows a very clean and fresh grain billing, with notes of toasted bread and a trace of biscuit. A light floral hopping adds just a touch of bite to the mildly sweet grain. Flavors weren’t very pronounced, but the clean, toasty grain and lightly sweet biscuit worked well together. A crisp floral hop bite comes through on the finish. Medium-light bodied and balanced on the tongue, this is indeed a quaffable brew. Sort of a hybrid golden-amber if you ask me. Not bad for what it is, though I can’t help but think the agitated yeast lent some body that might not usually be there.

12 oz bottle. Caramel malts, butter, toffee aromas with hints of spicy hop notes. Pours a cloudy gold color with no head. Cereal grains, not much flavor, buttery caramel malts, nothing special. Drinkable golden ale.

on tap-pours an off white head and orange/gold color. Aroma is faint light/medium malt. Taste is barnyard, grainy/bready-some sweet, herbal hops.

One of the many beers I had at beerfest. I seem to remember the light bodied citrus malty beer known as Minnehaha. Good.

On draft at Datz. Pours cloudy straw/gold with thin white head. Faint hints of hops and little malt finish. Very easy drinking and definition of a session beer.

On tap at the tasting room in Minneola. Pours a murky dark golden with a nice thick white sticky head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is pretty much neutral with a hint of fresh lake water. Flavor has some light citrus notes to it with some buttery notes in the back ground. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy. Very nice.
