Commercial Description:
A German style wheat beer that highlights the clove flavor produced by Bavarian weizen yeast. A high percentage of wheat malt gives this beer a slight tart finish to cut through the Florida heat.

Draft… Clear, light yellow ale with little to no head. The aroma is everything it’s supposed to be – pink bubblegum, clove and banana. Light-bodied with fizzy carbonation. Lots of citrus tang and clove in the flavor. More spice and tanginess in the finish.

Draft at the brewery. Pours mostly clear with a medium golden tint. A head of off-white foam is initially tall but fades almost instantly, leaving splotchy spots of lacing behind as it recedes. Fine streams of micro-bubbles rise up rapidly, pooling at the surface. The nose shows phenolic banana esters, clove, and dry, slightly dusty cereal grain. Flavors follow suit, light banana and peppery clove shrouded in a veil of dry grain, with nothing else really shining through. The body is light, with a fine, fizzy carbonation that proves overly active. Seems like a crystal weizen to me. Lacks depth and body. By far my least favorite of the 4 Lagniappe brews I tried this day.

12 oz bottle. buttery banana and citrus aromas, caramel and brown sugar. Pours clear golden blonde. Banana with hints of clove, there is a slight tart flavor but not enough to make it favorable, cereal grains in flavor, creamy, Not a hefeweizen but a not so bad american wheat ale.

Tap at the tasting room. Pours a cloudy yellow gold with a thick white head. Nice big clove banana aroma. Taste is smooth wheat malt and hints of banana and clove. Very light body, not your typical hefe and a good thirst quencher for a Florida summer.

On tap at the tasting room in Minneola. Banana-ester aroma - light yellow murky, cloudy appearance with a thick, fluffy, long lasting white head - looks delicious. Tart lemony flavor with a nice thick mouthfeel. Hints of bubblegum and cloves - not overpowering though. Very thirst quenching on a hot spring day.
