Commercial Description:
A refreshingly light, yet very complex flavor gives this one a very european 'Savoir Faire'. From Lagunitas Brewing: "The style of this one is tough to pinpoint--we rarely brew beers to fit any particular style. Saison is pretty close-- we used Westmalle yeast on a nice light ale, and the result is what we like to call an Uzbeki Raga Ale." Tony at Lagunitas calls this a "pumped-up version of our highly-touted Lagunator."

Note: 2004 edition was 7.7% ABV, 2006 is 6.6%.

A lightly hazed golden ale with a thick creamy white head. A lightly herbal malt, wild herbs, bit of boiled vegetables. In mouth, more of a wheat beer with light cloves, bubblegum, nice and refreshing. Medium bodied. A summer beer for sure. Tasted around Jan 2007.

best uzbeki raga I’ve had in a while. Nice a fruity all around with a bit of a dry side. Maybe not crispy but it is not limp to be sure. Different and intresting yes accessable.

Nose is light fruits. Golden amber with a light head. Thick and syrupy in the way gnatly wine was. Flavor is fruits, malt, bitter, spice.

Bottle sampled. Pours hazy copper with a small white head. Aroma of belgian spices, biscuit, and sweet malts. Flavor alcohol is well masked, spices, biscuit, slightly sweet, and citrus. Decent body, ok brew.

22 oz Bottle as #10. Slightly hazy orange body with a white head. Aroma has a light impression of cooked cabbage and hops. Flavor is malty, hoppy and a metallic harsh finish. Maybe something is wrong with this bottle, otherwise it’s just another sample of a plain beer with just a bunch of hops added to it. Not in balance at all, big disappointment.
